Today (20th May 2026) your local officers, had been out on patrols in the area of Broadfield Park, Falinge Park and the Rochdale Town centre- foot patrols had been conducted along with sweep and high visibility patrols of any bladed articles disposed in the local park and our streets. We host these operation as force week of action to raise an awareness of the dangers of knife crime and how this can have a massive impact on lives when these are used in conflict situation. 

if you, or you know anyone to have possession of a bladed article this can be made, intended and adapted you can surrender them safely in our amnesty bins that are located outside Rochdale Police Station and across our other districts across Greater Manchester Police.
